Next to my apartment building, on the other side of the fence, there lives a tree.
At first the tree did not seem rather appealing. Its leaves were not some extraordinary shape or colour. Its branches were not very artistic like say an acacia tree; in fact its branches seems rather tangled... like a bad hair day.
Then a month ago I realized that this tree was indeed rather special. It was no ordinary tree, it was a mulberry tree! In the midst of the city, Allah Ta'aala made this tree grow. In the morning it offered its berries to sparrows, mynas, finches, doves, pigeons etc etc. And at night, another flying creature enjoyed this bounty of Allah: bats.
Its amazing how Allah Ta'aala provides for so many with just that one ' unappealing' tree. And indeed it proves not to judge something at first sight.
